Heating Water

These data are also distributed as a Fathom file when you buy Fathom. The curator (Tim) heated water in a saucepan on his stove, and recorded temperature and time. The question is, what relationship do you expet between temperature and time?

This data set is especially good for learning about the usefulness of residual plots.

Note that you will have to create a new attribute that somehow combines the minutes and seconds.

min is the time in minutes.
sec is the time in seconds (beyond the previous minute)
temp is the temperature in degrees Celsius.
