I am back--I submitted some of my students work a couple of years ago.  This year I am having my 4th and 5th grade gifted students from Hermann, MO working on your problems.  We started today.  They had a great time with "Jake and Emily"  and we moved on to some of the map problems.  I have two groups that worked on the Jake and Emily problem.  I have attached their answers.
